Israeli warship attacks international human rights boat Oliva

Following up on our report yesterday on the human rights monitoring boat Oliva, we have video today of the boat being attacked by water cannons from an Israeli war ship. CPS Gaza boat and crew were attacked with water cannons on 13 Jule 2011 at midday. The boat filled with water, as those aboard were hit in the face with powerful blasts of water. 

Irish Ship to Gaza release documentation of boat sabotage

The Irish Ship to Gaza campaign released documentation today that they say shows the MV Saoirse, docked in the Turkish coastal port of Gocek, was sabotaged in way “intended to endanger and/or inflict injury or death on Irish citizens as they went about their lawful right to sail on the high seas.” 

Guardian/B'Tselem video project documents state of siege in East Jerusalem

This month the Guardian (UK) and B’Tselem, the Israeli human rights organization, published a series of videos that powerfully document the state of siege in occupied East Jerusalem. Six cameras were given to Jerusalem residents — four to Palestinians and two to Israelis.

In this video which appears to have been shot on “Jerusalem Day” — marked this earlier this month by thousands of right-wing Israeli settlers who provocatively marched in Jerusalem — a young American Jew states his solidarity with the Palestinian people before being roughly arrested by Israeli police. 

Former professors refute Israel's indictment of kidnapped Gaza engineer

Former professors of Dirar Abu Sisi, the engineer from Gaza who went missing during a train trip in Ukraine last February, refute allegations in Israel’s indictment that the man was taught weapons systems at university. The indictment also claims that one of Abu Sisi’s professors studied at a military engineering school in east Ukraine, though no such school exists, the Associated Press has found.
