Israeli forces mortally wound Nilin teenager after funeral



On 29 July, Israeli forces shot and killed a ten-year-old boy in Nilin, Ahmed Mousa, in the head with live ammunition fired from an M16, on Tuesday evening. Around the time of the funeral procession for Ahmed Mousa last night, Israeli occupation forces returned to the village and opened fire on villagers, shooting another young Palestinian teenager in the head. 

Transcript: Israeli military kills 10-year-old in Nilin



Israeli forces shot and killed a 10-year-old Palestinian boy yesterday evening in the West Bank village of Nilin. Ahmed Mousa was shot in the head by live ammunition, according to eyewitnesses, as he was leaving an area that was being targeted with rubber-coated steel bullets by the Israeli military during a demonstration against the annexation wall built on the village land.

EI co-founder Ali Abunimah was interviewed on Flashpoints Radio on Wednesday, 23 May 2007. He joined host Nora Barrows-Friedman to discuss the corporate media’s response to the refugee issue in Lebanon within the context of the latest fighting in Nahr al-Bared camp between the Lebanese military and Fatah al-Islam. Abunimah told Barrows-Friedman, “It’s amazing how much context is missing from the corporate media … I have seen them [Fatah al-Islam] portrayed in the US media as a Palestinian group, they are not a Palestinian group.” 

Ali Abunimah discusses the persecution of Azmi Bishara on Flashpoints



EI co-founder Ali Abunimah was interviewed on Flashpoints Radio on Monday, 7 May 2007. He joined host Nora Barrows-Friedman to discuss the persecution of Azmi Bishara, who recently resigned from the Israeli Kenesset and is now effectively living in exile, unable to return to his country. Abunimah told Barrows-Friedman, “The reason Israel announced the investigation when Bishara was outside the country, and then … announced that he could face the death penalty if he returned, was that Israel wants him out of the country because they do not want the Palestinian community in Israel to be galvanized around the message of democracy…” 

EI's Ali Abunimah discusses Rice trip on Flashpoints



EI co-founder Ali Abunimah was interviewed on Flashpoints Radio on Tuesday, 20 February 2007. He discussed the previous day’s talks in Jerusalem with Condoleezza Rice as she presses for Bush’s vision for a future Palestinian state. He told host Nora Barrows-Friedman, “The United States and Israel expect Abbas to act as their quisling, really, just a collaborator representing them. And Abbas’ transgressions in their books are that he has placed the desire among Palestinians for unity and democracy above the demands of the occupier and the United States.”

EI's Ali Abunimah speaks about the Israeli attacks on Lebanon



On July 13th, Flashpoints Radio hosted Electronic Intifada cofounder, Ali Abunimah, for a discussion of the Israeli attacks on Lebanon. Today, Israeli fighter jets stuck deep inside Lebanon, killing over 50 including 15 children and a family of ten. “Israel is complaining now that its sovereign territory was violated by Hizballah… When did Israel ever respect the sovereign territory of any of its neighbors? Israel occupied Southwest Syria.
