Last week, Palestinians went out in the streets, defying the curfew, to protest Israeli actions against the Palestinian president and the demolition of his compound. Some asked why did they demonstrate? Was it in order to show their support for Yasser Arafat? Or did they protest against something else? This is the real conflict, not the movies. Palestinians are threatened, humiliated and oppressed everyday. The greedy neighbor that stole most of their land wants to take what’s left for them and drive them out.
