Podcast Ep 1: Who’s behind the anti-Corbyn troll army?

Welcome to a new era and a new format for The Electronic Intifada Podcast!

Joining Nora Barrows-Friedman as co-host for the first time is her colleague and fellow reporter Asa Winstanley.

This week we take a deeper look at Asa’s latest investigative article, “Fake Labour accounts fueling ‘anti-Semitism crisis’,” which went viral soon after publication.

We discuss how the story came about and the wider background of events in the UK Labour Party over the last few years.

Who is behind the “anti-Semitism crisis” in Labour? Is this media narrative having an effect? How is Israel like ISIS? Has there been any official response to the story?

What would Asa say to Jeremy Corbyn if he had another chance to interview him? And why do people who try to ban the term “Israel lobby” annoy the hell out of us?

Please help with a technical problem:

I have for several years subscribed to the 'The Electronic Intifada Podcast' feed @

https://electronicintifada.net...

Today (9 Feb 2019) I was catching up with my feeds, and noticed this new item. Unfortunately, my feed reader gave me a link to this image

https://electronicintifada.net...

and not to the MP3. This is not what I was expecting, and I don't recall having this problem before. Fortunately, my feedreader also keeps a link to the feed itself, which I opened in my browser. I'm noticing that every post in the feed now has *2* media links: 1 to an audio MP3 (in this case,

http://electronicintifada.net/...

) and another to an image above (see 2nd link above). This seems unusual: in a brief sample of the feeds from the other ~100 podcasts to which I subscribe, all provide only 1 media link per post.

Hence, please consider doing that: i.e., *not* presenting 2 media links with each post, and instead only provide the link to the audio.
