Tear gas – much of it supplied by the United States – is perhaps the weapon Israel uses with the most frequency in its effort to keep Palestinians suppressed while it occupies and steals their land.
The gas itself and the metal canisters that contain it can be lethal. They have caused numerous deaths and injuries over the years.
Earlier this month, 85-year-old Said Jasir suffocated to death after a tear gas canister, fired by Israeli occupation forces, landed in his home in the village of Kufr Qaddum near the West Bank town of Qalqiliya.
In December 2011, an Israeli occupation soldier murdered Mustafa Tamimi, 28, in the village of Nabi Saleh, by firing a tear gas canister at his head at point blank range.
As usual, the occupation army exonerated itself of any fault in Tamimi’s killing.
Given the daily terror Israel inflicts with tear gas, the image above of Israeli occupation forces accidentally tear-gassing themselves inside an armored vehicle in the village of Bilin on Friday has been circulated online by many people with more than a little schadenfreude.
At the time of the incident, the occupier vehicle was being used to pursue village youth protesting against land theft for the benefit of Jewish settlers, Rateb Abu Rahma of the Popular Campaign Against the Wall in Bilin, told local media.
The occupation army’s spokesperson said that “a border policeman was injured due to a malfunction in his gear.”
Video: Soldiers choke themselves at Jalazone
And now, this video has emerged of another incident of occupation forces tear-gassing themselves, also yesterday, at Jalazone refugee camp in the West Bank.During the incident at Jalazone, occupation forces injured 12 Palestinians, two with live fire and two were struck in the head by tear gas canisters, Ma’an News Agency reported.
Jalazone has been the site of habitual killings of unarmed Palestinian civilians, including children, by Israeli occupation forces. Others were injured with rubber-coated steel bullets.
Overall, dozens of Palestinians were injured across the West Bank on Friday as the occupation army sought to violently suppress anti-occupation protests.

This is actually a modern remake of an old Mack Sennett short, the Keystone Cops storm Bilin.

Well that gives them a tiny taste of their own medicine.Maybe those whose minds have not been completely numbed, by brainwashing, to the suffering of their victims, will reflect on the abuse they are inflicting.
