Barbra Streisand to perform at Los Angeles fundraiser for Israeli military

Iconic singer and actor Barbra Streisand is slated to perform at a fundraising gala this week for “Friends of the IDF” (FIDF), a New York-based non-profit organization with 13 regional offices across the US which raise millions of dollars to support Israeli soldiers through designated welfare programs.

The event is taking place on 8 December at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Los Angeles, and Streisand will be joined by Canadian music producer of adult contemporary pop music David Foster, as well as former Seinfeld co-star Jason Alexander, who is an outspoken supporter of the Israeli-Palestinian normalization group OneVoice. As The Electronic Intifada has reported, OneVoice promotes a two-state “solution” and promotes what many Palestinians see as “a false peace that fails to address the structural injustices driving the conflict.”

The FIDF’s LA chapter’s chair, entertainment industry mogul Haim Saban and his wife, Cheryl, have included on the guests of honor list former Israeli Military Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi, who commanded the attacks on Gaza in the winter of 2008-09 which killed approximately 1,400 Palestinians, including more than 300 children.

Israeli daily Ynet reported that the Sabans will arrive at the gala following the 2011 Saban Forum “addressing the state of US-Israel strategic dialogue, which will be held in Washington on December 2-4.”

A propaganda video about Streisand’s appearance at the gala — featuring repeated images of armed Israeli soldiers running against a warm sunset — was made by Israeli media outlet InfoLive TV:

"People....

I had the misfortune of taking a date to go see 'Prince of Tides' when it first came out. What I witnessed on the screen was the most radically blatant self-promotion that I to-date have ever seen. I saw Jimi Hendrix perform wizardry all dressed up flashy, and The Rolling Stones' coked up emotionally chaotic dance your self sore rock n'roll. 'Prince of Tides' left me blank. The next day, I asked my girl what she thought of the movie. She said, "What movie?" And she was SERIOUS.

LOL!
I have one...
"~I got the feelin' your house is gone~,
~My heart has gone to sleep~,
~One of these mornin's you'll be gone~,
~Your land belongs to me~."

OK, not as good as yours, but I tried.

I didn't know that after 6 billion dollars/year we Give Israel to defend itself and their famous vibrant democracy with segregated roads, their army still needs millions more by fundraisers. What a shame. We certainly should mobilize more resources to save the poor dears from these evil Muslims armed with dangerous sticks, stones, and fireworks-size rockets that always happen to land in empty places. I'm sure our Congress is already working on something to that effect, because certainly well-being of Jewry is #1 priority for our country and our nation.

Someone please clue her in about the Gaza Ghetto, and the unending occupation and ethnic cleansing....of non-Jews from Israel-Palestine.
