Israeli army harasses press crew, beats a B’Tselem female volunteer, and lies to foreign media

Yesterday was another violent Friday in the village of Nabi Saleh as the weekly protests against settlement expansion continues. As always, the demonstration was met with tear gas, disgusting skunk chemicals and rubber-coated metal bullets. Disregarding cases of suffocation, 20 injuries were reported. 

Israel's interrogation of Islam Dar Ayyoub Tamimi, age 14: video reveals rights abuses

A year ago on January 23, 14-year-old Islam Dar Ayoub Tamimi was arrested at gunpoint after the Israeli army surrounded his house at around 1:30am. A few days before, on January 17, Islam’s house was one of many in the village of Nabi Saleh that were raided by the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF), where the soldiers then proceeded to take pictures of all males over the age of 12.

Holiday shopping-related actions took place around the world as BDS activists encouraged shoppers not to buy Israeli products. And a group in California calls on the state pension fund to investigate its investment ties with Israeli companies and US companies that do business with the Israeli military.
