Shawan Jabarin, director of human rights group Al-Haq, is to be allowed to travel to Geneva for a meeting with the UN Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Expression, for the first time since Israel imposed a travel ban on him six years ago. The Israeli government and the Palestinian movement Hamas today began implementing their agreement to release 1,027 Palestinian prisoners in exchange for one captured Israeli soldier. Meanwhile, PFLP leader Ahmad Saadat has been taken to Al Ramla Prison hospital due to health complications following 20 days of hunger strike.
