Video: Palestinians bleed to death as soldier gets treatment

Warning: this article includes very graphic video.

Video has emerged showing two badly injured Palestinians lying on motionless on the ground, receiving no medical attention, as Israelis in military uniform tend to a soldier who was stabbed and wounded:

A man is heard in the video cursing the two Palestinians in Hebrew and a kitchen knife is seen near the hand of one of the felled youths.

The incident took place near the Ariel settlement in the northern occupied West Bank on Thursday.

The two Palestinians, Ali Jamal Muhammad Taqatqa, 19, and Ali Abd al-Rahman al-Kar Thawabta, 20, died of their wounds.

Palestinian emergency paramedics were prevented by Israeli forces from approaching the youths and forced to turn back, the Ma’an News Agency reported.

The Israeli soldier was evacuated to a nearby hospital in “moderate to severe condition,” Ma’an added, citing an Israeli emergency medical service spokesperson.

Israeli forces closed the entrances to Beit Fajjar after the incident and reportedly summoned the slain youths’ parents for questioning.

The Quds news network circulated a photo of Taqatqa, on the left, and Thawabta:

Beit Fajjar

Both Taqatqa and Thawabta were from the village of Beit Fajjar near the West Bank city of Bethlehem.

Another youth from Beit Fajjar, 21-year-old Khaled Yousif Taqatqa, was shot by soldiers in the village during confrontations between protesters and the army last month.

Palestinian medics said that they were prevented from treating the young man at the scene; he later died of his injuries at a Jerusalem hospital.

In November, village resident Issam Thawabta, 34, was shot dead by Israeli forces after allegedly stabbing a woman near the Gush Etzion bloc of settlements south of Jerusalem in the occupied West Bank.

Surge in violence

Nearly 200 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces and approximately 30 Israelis slain since a surge in violent confrontation began in October. Dozens of Palestinians have been shot and killed during or near demonstrations, but most were shot dead during alleged attacks at Israeli military installations and settlement colonies.

Approximately 30 Israelis have been slain during that time.

Videos have emerged showing Israeli forces firing on Palestinians and killing them when they are lying on the ground and pose no immediate threat – including young children.

Human rights groups have condemned what amounts to an apparent shoot-to-kill policy, encouraged by Israel’s top leaders.

For the most part I have no words for comment on these obscene murders. I am horrified and speechless that this nightmare of Israel continues. I just can't believe that these young beautiful people choose to end their life with a knife. Yes despair I understand...but I feel more of an understanding with lies and conspiracy on the side of cowards with guns. No other group nor nation has made so much hate towards themselves as Israel has...along with the US.

"a kitchen knife is seen near the hand of one of the felled youths."
If you zoom on the images and make a still, you clearly see the slain youth holds the knifs IN his hand. That's incredible, isn't it . The kid is dead or dying but he still holds the knife..... How come I think this knife has been put in his hand. I'm not saying they didn't carry out an attack with a knife, but still holding it after falling to the ground ...... ? (And do all Wast Bank Palestinians have the same kichen knifes ?)

While they are constantly blaming the world for discriminating against them and pretending to be victims, they are shooting Palestinian women, men and children indiscriminately. They do not consider Palestinians human. To Zionists, Palestinians are wild animals inhabiting a land they want to clear for themselves.
