Palestinian agricultural organizations are calling for a worldwide campaign against trade with Israeli settlements.

Palestine solidarity campaigners celebrated news that The Co-operative Group – commonly known as The Co-op – has decided to expand its boycott of goods produced in Israeli settlements on occupied Palestinian land into a complete boycott of companies that source any goods in settlements.

Two significant milestones in the Palestinian-led movement for boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) were marked this week with a vote by the UK’s Trades Union Congress to reconsider its ties with Israel’s national trade union federation, and with the confirmation that boycott target Agrexco was ordered into liquidation.

The Israeli produce company Agrexco, which has been a key target of the boycott, divestment and sanctions movement in Europe, is set for liquidation, the Israeli business publication Globes reported Tuesday.

A coalition of European solidarity organizations have issued a declaration today calling for a day of action against the Israeli produce company Agrexco on 26 November and affirming their “determination to put an end to Agrexco’s presence in Europe.”
