Thousands of Palestinian flags could be seen yesterday all over Holland. Traveling from the south up to the north, we saw a Palestinian flag draped along a bridge over the highway.
At my parents’ home, the green, black, white and red was put up in the morning. Neighbours walking by were pointing at it, whispering either words of support or of questions. The media reported that thousands of people in the Netherlands had put up the Palestinian flag.
My cousin in Delft saw his neighbours flying a flag with a picture of Muhammad Dura. ‘I never saw them, I never spoke with them,’ he said. ‘It seems that they are in solidarity’.
