I penned this just after hearing about eight bodies pulled from the rubble of just one home in Nablus yesterday.
This news was hardly mentioned anywhere, if at all - let alone a frontpage headline it would have received had they been Israeli citizens or soldiers.
According to Ha’aretz, among the dead were a pregnant woman and three children. Its not meant to be disrespectful, its just that black humor is the only way I can emotionally deal with such frustrations.
Eight bodies in Nablus rubble,
Children, women still so supple;
But Israelis say, t’were just in the way,
And they aren’t worth the media’s trouble.
