The footage includes people crowding at the site of an Israeli military strike and then the Gaza Parkour Team defiantly enjoying their sport the next day, despite the ongoing bombing.
A description of the video on YouTube states that the Gaza Parkour Team aims “to convey [the] message to the world that we, despite all what is happening in the Gaza Strip killing and bombing and destruction of facilities there is hope in life.”
Gaza youth who enjoy the sport of parkour are featured in the below short documentary on youth subculture in Gaza published by The Electronic Intifada last month. The documentary features video, photos and audio collected by Anne Paq of the ActiveStills collective in the Gaza Strip earlier this month. Anne Paq is currently in Gaza, documenting the horrors of the past few days of Israeli bombardment.
