The court has ruled

‘Do you already have an answer?’ I asked a lawyer present at the Israeli Supreme Court. ‘No the hearing is still going on, but they’ve already agreed that the International Committee of the Red Cross should be allowed to accompany the Israeli army to examine, collect and identify the bodies and the court advised that the Palestinian Red Crescent Society takes part in the identification process’.

OK, I’ll call you later,’ I replied.

‘Arjan, the court ruled that the Israeli army should immediately stop with the burial of Palestinians in separate mass graves. We have prohibited the Israeli army to continue to bury bodies in the way they have been doing so far,’ says the lawyer, an hour later. ‘The Supreme Court also ruled that bodies that have already been cleared should be handed over to the families and allow burials to be conducted in a respectful manner by family members.’
