During a demonstration on Tuesday to demand justice for the killing of 17-year-old Yousef Ikhlayl by Israeli settlers last year in Beit Ommar, Israeli soldiers beat protesters with clubs and attacked the crowd with sound bombs and tear gas.
One year after a 17-year-old Palestinian boy was shot and killed by Israeli settlers as he farmed with his father in his West Bank village, his killers remain unpunished.
The West Bank village of Beit Ommar is encircled by no less than five illegal settlements. Water is regularly cut off and private wells are illegal. Meanwhile, in the settlements, swimming pools and fountains are de rigeur.

Following a weekly demonstration in the West Bank village of Beit Ommar, Palestinian popular committee member and local resident Yousef Abu Maria was brutally beaten, detained and later dumped on the side of the road by Israeli soldiers today.
