BBC's Palestine hoaxer Paul Martin tries to cover his online tracks

Paul Martin is a BBC-linked journalist who I exposed as a fraud last month, in a major investigative feature. Although a freelancer, Martin has been described by Newsnight as “our correspondent” at least once. The problem is that Martin has a bad habit of using false identities and making up stories, as my article showed. Since this story got out, Martin (whose real name seems to be Paul Cainer) has been trying to cover his tracks.

The Electronic Intifada barred from reporting inside UK “delegitimization” conference

An anti-Palestinian conference due to take place in the UK tomorrow has barred The Electronic Intifada from attending the event, despite admitting other journalists will be given free entry. “The Big Tent For Israel” in Manchester will bring together an alliance of pro-Israel groups specifically to combat the increasingly successful Palestinian campaign of boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS). New Israeli ambassador Daniel Tuab is due to address the conference as keynote speaker, according to its program. The event is focused on a 2010 report by influential Israeli think tank the Reut Institute, which named London as the “hub of hubs of delegitimization”.

Will Palestinians hit Hillary's glass ceiling?

It is difficult to recall a US secretary of state who embodied the ideals of the position: the promotion of dialogue and privileging of diplomacy. Unfortunately, US President-elect Barack Obama’s nominee, Hillary Clinton, is not likely to restore these ideals to the office. Clinton has long championed military action against the former Yugoslavia, Iraq and has promised to “obliterate” Iran if the state launched a nuclear strike against Israel.
