The Palestine Society at London School of Economics inaugurated Israeli Apartheid Week with an incredibly massive and successful stunt held at the LSE campus on Houghton Street, outside St. Clements House, which displayed a huge banner bearing a quotation by Nelson Mandela: “Our Freedom is incomplete without the freedom of the Palestinians.”

The Israeli “satire” show Latma TV produces an animated cartoon that represents African people as apes. Latma TV has become notorious for its racist videos, including one which spread a libel that Muslim men were responsible for a “rape epidemic” in Norway.
Responses to the ruling by Israel’s High Court in favour of the racist Citizenship Law highlight the country’s obsession with demography and separation - fears with a historical echo.

The human rights organization Al Haq published a new report on the illegality of ‘land swap’ agreements that warns Palestinian leaders that as long as Israel occupies the Palestinian territory, any ‘land swap’ agreement is contrary to international law.

“It’s just because I’m Palestinian” shouts a young woman toward the Israeli soldiers dragging her from a bus that serves Israel’s settler population and travels its segregated roads.
Video shot by Anne Paq with the ActiveStills collective shows activists boarding the bus and Israeli forces asking them in broken Arabic for their travel permits. The soldiers then drag the activists from their seats.

The Russell Tribunal on Palestine concludes that Israel imposes a system of systematic, institutional apartheid against the Palestinian people. It also finds that Israel is involved in persecution of the Palestinian people which is a separate crime against of humanity.
