| Nigel PARRY
Nigel Parry is one of the four founders of the Electronic Intifada and has pioneered Palestine-related alternative media projects since the mid-1990s, when he was responsible for the original Birzeit University website.
Nigel is author of A Personal Diary of the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict', a four-year-long online photostory looking at how the implementation of the Oslo accords affected Palestinians in the West Bank.
Over one million visitors have read the diary since its launch in 1996 and it has received critical acclaim from international publications that include The Independent (UK), Le Monde (France), Ha'aretz (Israel), and Stern (Germany).
Parry is well-known for his work with alternative media in the Palestinian West Bank. In 1996, he produced On the ground In Ramallah: Reports from a town become battlefield, the first alternative news website published from a warzone. In 1997, he was invited to the United Nations as a panelist to speak about the development of the Palestinian Internet.
Nigel Parry was responsible for the Summer 2002 redesign of the Electronic Intifada, and helps to coordinate the Electronic Intifada project from St. Paul, MN, where he runs a web design company, nigelparry.net.
